Development of self-teaching courses and regional program |
|
|
 This activity will focus on the development of self-teaching courses for the grassroots users of water and the ground level water operations personnel in the water basins of Central Asia. The focus of these courses will be on the following basic topics, designed for a grassroots, non-technical audience:
- Basic computer use;
- Data collection and database use;
- Water quality and quantity management;
- Simple water saving methods;
- Safety and inspection of local water facilities;
- Community water users associations.
These programs will be developed in cooperation with Mount Royal College and they will be delivered in a CD-ROM format. This will allow the project to reach beyond Tashkent and into local water treatment / management facilities, agricultural communities and educational institutions throughout the region.
