DAYS 6-7. During your stay in Bukhara you will be shown many of the remarkable monuments and sights for which this city is renowned: the Ismail Samani Mausoleum, the Prophet Jobe's Well, the Ulugbek and Abdulaziz Khan Madrassahs and then on to Kalyan Square and Minaret, the tallest in Central Asia. Visit also the Mir-I-Arab Madrassah, the largest Muslim School in Uzbekistan and the Ark, an impressive fortress dating back 2000 years. These are just some of the 140 outstanding sights that have given Bukhara official status as a museum in itself.
Water management sights will include visits of Bukhara Branch of SPA "Cotton" and a trip to the Amu-Bukhara Canal 194 kilometers long and with a discharge of 124 cubic meters per second.
In the evening of the seventh day you will take a trip to Khiva, where you will be accommodated in the private hotel "Arkanchi", located on the territory of the ancient part of the city.
DAYS 8-9. During this time you will visit Khorezm oblast, its cities Urgench and Khiva. Here the deserts in the lower reaches of the Amu-Darya are irrigated by the Tashsakin irrigation system with a discharge at the head of 240 cubic meters per second and the Shavat canal with a discharge of 119 cubic meters per second. You will also visit a big Tuyamuyun reservoir 7.8 thousand million cubic meters in volume. In Urgench we will arrange the meetings at the BVO Amu Darya, Basin Water Authority responsible for water allocation and control of the Amu Darya river.
You will enjoy a guided tour of Khiva, an extraordinary walled city, the most complete of all the Silk Road cities remaining today. The inner town is surrounded by a high clay wall with four gates symbolically opening to the four corners of the Universe; within, you'll find some 60 historical monuments to wonder at - here, the twentieth century seems light years away.
You will spend here the 8th and the first half of the 9th day here. In the afternoon of the 9th day you will fly to Tashkent.
DAY 10. The last day will be spent at Tashkent. During this time you can walk around the city and make shopping. You will visit the traditional East bazaars and get acquainted with national customs and weddings. It is also possible to arrange fishing at Arnasay lakes (Hunger Steppe).
