This report follows a successful completion of the ICWC Water Resources Management Training Centre's Workshop on "Geographic Information Systems" that was held on August 25-29, 2003 in the ICWC Training Centre in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Organization of the scheduled workshop on "Geographic Information Systems" was conditioned by the increasing necessity for dissemination of available practical and scientific-research knowledge, and familiarize water related specialists with advanced methods of information.
The program and topics of the workshop that had gone through the approval process by the ICWC and USAID were oriented at creating suitable conditions for exchange of advantageous experiences.
