At the Amir Timur Square, there is a statue of Timur on horseback in the center of the square. There are nice gardens and fountains around it.
Right near the Square there is a pedestrian Sayilgoh kuchasi, known as the Broadway. It is a kind of a local version of Moscow's Arbat, with artists, buskers, outdoor eateries and bars. The street is one of the places where Tashkent people like to spend their free time.
